Shared knowledge with national structure

There is no doubt that there is expertise and knowledge in our country that can contribute to an industrial transformation towards net zero. But how can we jointly capitalise on the existing expertise and future knowledge within the Net Zero Industry project portfolio?
Right now, intensive work is underway within the programme with the ambition of supporting a coherent and common national structure for building competence and disseminating and sharing knowledge. This work requires co-operation between many different actors.
On 4 December last year, a first step was taken when we held a needs workshop with a number of key actors. Based on insights from the workshop and discussions with other actors, the programme office is now working to create a needs document for our funders ahead of a forthcoming strategic call for proposals for a joint competence platform.
– As a first step, we want this platform to run a strategy and mobility programme within Net Zero Industry, but also to launch a training offer aimed at both academia and companies, says Magnus Wiktorsson, coordinator for skills within Net Zero Industry.
A common structure is an important tool for Net Zero Industry’s work, and the aim is for that structure to be linked with all the projects and system demonstrators that the programme contains. The aim is to start the design work of the platform in the spring of 2025 and is the first step in a broad portfolio of efforts to spread knowledge and build expertise on how we can achieve the mission of Net Zero Industry.
